On June 25, the stage of the World Cup in Hand-to-hand fighting "Friendship Cup 2022", which was held with the support of the Moscow City Department of Sports, has ended.
The tournament, which lasted for two days, was attended by 150 athletes from 18 countries. 26 sets of awards were disposed.
On June 24, fights in the disciplines "Self-defense" and "Self-defense 1+1" took place.
On June 25, the final fights in the discipline "Duel" were held. Among women, Russian women won in all weight categories: Viktoriia Mustaeva (48 kg), Daria Krapivina (53 kg), Tatiana Zuikova (58 kg), Mariia Egorova (64 kg), Kristina Morozova (70 kg) and Maria Khizhnyakova (70+ kg).
Among men, the winners were Shahriyor Bahronov from Uzbekistan (57 kg), Dzoshgun Mansimov from Russia (62 kg), Iaroslav Ulitin from Russia (67 kg), and the Russian athlete Danil Makagonov defeated the Belarusian athlete Yauheni Heidzel with a submission hold.
In the 80 kg weight category, the world champion, three-time European champion, Russian Movsar Baimaskhanov, due to a clear advantage, won against Vladimir Drach from Belarus. Russian Maxim Viktorov defeated Belarusian Pavel Brazovski by knockout (88 kg), and Russian Rodion Usachev defeated compatriot Viacheslav Omelchenko (97 kg) due to a clear advantage. In the final match in the weight category over 97 kg, two Russians met - Gitinomagomed Magomedov and Salimgerei Rasulov, and Rasulov won by points.
The team of the Russian Federation has won in the overall standings.
The program includes such disciplines as:
«Fight». It involves full-contact fights using punches and kicks, various throws and submission holds.
«Self-defense». Athletes alternately defend themselves from the attacking actions of an armed and unarmed opponent, using applied hand-to-hand combat techniques.
Weight categories:
Men – uр to 57, 62, 67, 73, 80, 88, 97, 97+, Absolute;
Women – uр to 48, 53, 58, 64, 70, 70+, Absolute.
In the «Self-defense» discipline competitions will be held in the individual classification
and in the category «Self-defense 1+1».
